Goal

To empower the Academic Cooperation between Italy and Africa for fostering the quality and effectiveness of the higher education systems in a mutual learning environment

Objectives

• Promote an effective cooperation in teaching and research among the participating universities far beyond the project through the establishment of the UNITAFRICA alliance in join collaboration with CUCS;
• Identify guidelines and best practices on teaching methodologies in relation to their effectiveness and the generated impact
• Encourage the education programmes’ improvements and the use of innovative teaching methods;
• Increase the level of internationalisation of both IUs and AUs through an effective bi-directional mobility of students, teaching and non-teaching staff;
• Create solid bases for building and strengthening synergies in joint training programs between Italy and Africa;
• Promote a new perspective of science for human growth and development

Activities

• Establishment of UNITAFRICA Alliance among 21 Italian Universities & 78 African Universities;
• Advanced skills courses targeting teachers and early career scholars/researchers;
• Advanced skills course for administrative staff;
• PIT (Platform for Innovative Teaching) and website;
• International Mobility;
• Educational initiatives targeting PhD/Master’s students.
